I’m writing to demand a proper crunch—this fish needs its chip armor, not a soggy apology.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Spread the crushed chips on a plate.
  2. Pat the fish dry, season with salt and pepper, then dip it in yoghurt and press the chip crumbs onto both sides.
  3. Heat coconut oil in an oven‑proof skillet over medium‑high heat; sear the fish 2 min per side until golden.
  4. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake 8‑10 min until the fish is opaque and the crust is firm.
  5. Meanwhile, in another pan sauté the onion in a splash of coconut oil until translucent; finish with a squeeze of lemon and the minced garlic.
  6. Serve the fish atop the caramelised onions, with any extra chip crumbs scattered for drama.

Press the chip crumbs firmly onto the yoghurt‑coated fish – a gentle pat ensures they stick during the oven blast.
